इत्यर्जुनं वासुदेवस्तथोक्त्वा स्वकं रूपं दर्शयामास भूयः।आश्वासयामास च भीतमेनं भूत्वा पुनः सौम्यवपुर्महात्मा॥

The verse says
Sañjaya said: Having spoken this way to Arjuna, Krishna showed his own form again. The great one comforted him in his fear, becoming once more the one with the gentle shape.
In plain words
Saumya-vapuḥ — the gentle-bodied one.
The word means mild, pleasant, like the moon. It is the opposite of everything in the last thirty verses.
And āśvāsayām āsa — he comforted him. The chapter ends its vision with somebody being calmed down.

After a bad argument at home, somebody makes tea for everybody. Nothing is said about it. The argument happened and nothing has been settled. By about nine o'clock the kitchen is just a kitchen again.
Going deeper
The vision ends not with an explanation but with somebody being comforted, and the choice of ending says what the chapter thinks matters.
Everything enormous has already been said. Time has been named, the warriors have been accounted for, the instruction has been given. What the narrative chooses for its closing image is a frightened man being calmed by a friend who has changed back into a shape he can stand to look at.
The word used for that shape is the one you would use about moonlight.
And it quietly establishes which of the two forms is the one this book expects you to live with. The universal form was shown once, to one person, and withdrawn as soon as it had made its point. The gentle one is the one Arjuna spends the rest of the war beside.
