The verse says

Whoever knows me like this, not fooled, as the highest Person - he knows everything, and he loves me with the whole of what he is, Arjuna.

In plain words

Two things follow from getting this right, and the second is the real one.

He knows everything - meaning the one thing that puts the rest in order, not a head full of facts.

And sarva-bhāvena: with the whole of what he is. Not with the part of him that goes to temple. All of it.

Where you've felt this · in friendship

You and Ajay have known each other since you were eleven. There is no version of yourself you put on before you see him. You once told him the worst thing you have ever done and he passed you the tea. It is the least tiring relationship you have, and the reason is simple. Nothing is being held back, so nothing has to be held up.

Going deeper

Knowing and loving are treated here as one event, which is unusual and worth taking seriously.

We normally keep them apart. You learn something, then you decide how you feel about it. This puts them in a single line: the one who knows this, loves. No gap, no second step. Understanding who that is, and warmth toward it, turn out to be the same motion.

Sarva-bhāvena, with your whole being, is a relief rather than a demand. It is hard work to love something with part of yourself. Partial devotion needs constant management - deciding how much to give, holding the rest back, keeping the accounts straight. Whole is simpler than half.

And look at the standard being set. Not purity. Asammūḍha, not-fooled. You are not being asked to be good. You are being asked to stop being wrong about what this is.
