The verse says

Krishna said: Those who settle their minds on me and worship me, always joined, with the highest faith — I consider them the most joined of all.

In plain words

He answers immediately and does not hedge.

Those with a form to hold on to, who come with faith and keep coming: those are the ones he calls most joined.

No qualification, no suggestion that this is the beginner's road.

Where you've felt this · in relationships

Your neighbour has written to her brother abroad every month for twenty years. The letters are not literary and half of them are about the weather. The relationship they have built is not the relationship of two people who speak rarely and profoundly.

Going deeper

A clear preference is stated here and it points the opposite way to what most people assume.

There is a widespread instinct that the abstract approach is the advanced one — that images and devotion are for those who cannot manage philosophy. Krishna says plainly that the ones who come with their minds settled on him, with faith, are the most joined. He is not splitting the difference.

The next three verses will say the other road also arrives, so this is a preference rather than an exclusion.

But the preference is real, and it is worth noticing why. What is praised is not insight. It is nitya-yukta — always joined — which is a description of frequency rather than depth, and frequency is the one thing in this book that is available to anybody.
